The following substances have been known to cause excessive bleeding at the time of surgery. We recommend you discontinue their use at least two weeks prior to surgery.

Any questions or concerns you may have should be directed to your Primary Care Physician or to our office.

Herbal Dietary Substances Vitamins Anti-inflammatories Arthritis Medications Headache Medications Blood Thinning Agents - Please contact your prescribing physician before discontinuing any blood thinning medications.

The following list of specific medications does not include all known substances causing excessive bleeding. Please consult with your Primary Care Physician or our office if you are taking other medications or compounds not already listed here.
